On this day, I do not speak. Empty words to the world seem meek. hate was burned on their flesh, slashing and licking at their happiness.
I give my words a meaning in my mind, waiting for the correct, right time. I try to Advocate for those Killed by hate. It is solace that they now taste.
The pink was turned red by a bullet, fire and hatred of those who feared a love so easily missunderstood. So manyare killed for loving in such a way that our society feels they must never be gay.

So true. This is an inspiring write, it makes me so angry for those who are of that nature. Great words you used. Xds-gX

there needs to be a day on the calander ...
the day of silence should be done every year for those who suffer wrongly at the hands of predjudice and misunderstanding- I recently learned of a very similar crime.... and I wept.

I remember that day....

I was silent too. Seeing as I'm bi I saw it fitting that I didn't speak and this poem is so true I really like it.

Ya I was silent too. It was such a horrible thing that it would seem wrong to not have a day in remembrance. Great way of portraying that all.
