If I had one wish what would it be?
Dear father in heaven what would you say?
I think quite often of this horrible place we've created,
Yet I can not focus on the pain alone today,
So if I had one wish what would it be?
Maybe to sit beside the flowing rivers and cry away my tears,
To hold your hand and gently wisp away my fears,
Take a child away from an abusive mother or dad,
If I had one wish what would it be?
To catch a falling star,
To watch you everywhere you are,
See my mother and father just one last time,
Get all A's in all of my subjects,
If I had one wish what would it be?
Dear father do you think that you could lend a hand?
I need some friendly advice!
I think I'd wish that just for once everyone would be nice!
They'd think twice before they hurt anothers feelings,
Note when they've really caused destruction,
"If I had one wish."
Author notes
I've thought about this often, and changed it many times. I think that this world is self destroying, from other people's lies, so if I had one wish, I'd wish for people just once to be nice, save someone a heartbreak, and take the time to realize, just smile!

great wish. i'm pleased that of all wishes you could have wished, that you chose this one. your rhyme scheme varied throughout, but i thought it was still pleasing. your voice is good too. i didn't find anything wrong with this. great job, and good luck.
