The sunbeam's gleam
A steady stream
Of gentle provocation
So flowers know
Just when to grow
Without an explanation
The bees come out
And buzz about
In food appropriation
Find flowers wide
And climb inside
To cause cross-pollination
The chickadees
Build nests in trees
In earnest preparation
Feathers and sticks
To cradle chicks
Until their maturation
The geese come back
In air they tack
A lovely Vee-formation
They land once more
Just off the shore
Completing their migration
Mice scurrying
And hurrying
In lively animation
A million ants
Together dance
With pinpoint calibration
The bullfrogs croak
Their bodies soak
In green water's stagnation
As aphids hide
On underside
Of luscious vegetation
The butterfly
Goes floating by
Jogs my imagination
And all I hear
Seems to appear
In perfect orchestration
I look around
The world's abound
With great anticipation
That's all made of
The sweet, sweet love
Of Summer's inspiration
