His hand on my back
sends tingles up my spine
His breathe on my neck
reminds me that he's not mine
His eyes pleading for forgiveness
He says such sweet things
His mind begging nevertheless
Wanting this more than anything
His words slowly become a lie
that I want desperately to believe
His actions portray the truth
When he's had enough he'll leave
His world doesn't involve me
I seem to not exist
His eyes look but really don't see
the good thing he has missed
His actions seem so careless
the choices clearly not contemplated
His life is a bit of a mess
really that can't be debated
His decision seemed cold
after he had gained back my trust
His reasoning was untold
but became so very obvious
His conscience couldn't let him commit
not in the same way as before
His heart just wasn't in it
He can't love me anymore
His life will be amazing
I wish him only the best
His accomplishments will be astounding
This I won't protest
