Incantation - HM

Missing image

Incantation throbbing through a tribal boundary
riding waves of night air
bypassing fairytales and futile wishes
dancing past terrestrial tragedies

a secret name
a sacred name

twirling like belladonna pirouette
toes unleashed from their satin sheaths
arms swirling ether as spiritual stew

a secret dance
a sacred dance

drawing cupped hands to silken breast
as grasping air and transmuted frame
borne from doomed doorway
into language lusting after itself

a secret language
a sacred language

moon and stars bereft
as ghastly sorrow slips
to a borrowed bed of longing

a secret longing
a sacred longing

chant and dance myth of mere years
that feels eons of angst
since a ghastly frank fragment
burrowed into a beloved being
and slowly wound him in his own cocoon
of loss and longing that can not be undone

a secret past
a sacred past

Sighhh...You deeply moved my soul's song with this one, Carol...& we both know why. Absolutely heart~rending, profound, spiritual & right~on, my dear Friend. Thank you for entering, Sweetie. Good luck in the contest. Sorry I haven't been around much lately & it took this long to comment...I've been suffering from fundamentally unavoidable circumstances, as you know. Wanda

I love the flow and flourish of incantations and explanations on bearing woe and wonder... almost simultaneously. You've captured and enraptured a certain someone that we know and Love, with your astonishing admonishings and knowing sowing of your always plentiful seeds of knowledge. I'm sitting here aware that I'm in the presence of your eminence.

    Magnificent, m'Lady!
