I've been looking for you.
Waiting for you.
Believing you'd arrive.
You always were out there somewhere.

I went out there, finally, searching.
I knew who you'd be.
Everything I wanted to be.
I never saw you.
You were still out there, somewhere.

I came back in.
Wherever I am, you're beyond it.
I've been told there's someone for everyone.
So you must be out there, somewhere.

    This reminds me of the song, "Somewhere Out There." I love that song, and this poem represents many of the same ideas, except in a more ominous format. I like the repetition; it creates an eerie atmosphere, which is just perfect for the piece, especially since I know and understand what it's about. Nicely written, thanks for joining, and I can't wait to read more from you.

    I liked the repetition of the word somewhere in this, it speaks of that longing to find that connection and hope for it still. well done, and thanks for sharing.hope you enjoy your time here.
