Nana Story Nana {Assignment Sonnet 1}

"Nana tell me story now, Nana please"

For me you made magic with words and rhyme.

Demands of the child sat on your frail knees,

From three, I'd sit entranced every time.

"Nana, me want a story, now Nana now"

and once the story told then I would sleep.

Fairy queens with silk wings, a pink eyed cow,

fabled within childhood dreams I would keep.

"Nana give me story, I want story"

my endless need, how did you find the time.

Never to busy for a hero's glory

sweet memories, so proud they are all mine.

"Nana tell me story now, Nana please."

"Just one more," whispers over the cool breeze.
