(To my Gentleman)
When i fell in love,
he was so far away.
I longed for his touch,
longed every day.
His voice was soft
and sweet like honey,
he said baby ill be there,
once i get the money.
He said I love you,
I said I love you too.
I did have this feeling,
ya know,
like some things are too good to be true.
I was right in a way,
then again,
maybe i just fucked it.
How could i say yes and then i split?
I got the heebee's,
but before the new day,
I knew I was wrong
and wanted to change my way.
Right then, I knew,
that things had changed.
When he didnt reply,
and his tone when he said my name.
I stood back, gave him his space.
Hoping he'd get back on track,
if i wasn't in his face.
But i could feel the cold,
the cold,when he turned his back.
Maybe i wasnt ready,
or it wasn't time for me to except love.
This time I've learnt,
it hurts when you shove.

it does hurt when you shove people away, beause you think that you will save everyone from the pain, but you feel the pain that you saved because you now you know what could have happened, good luck with him, I hope the best for you, I recomened apologizing first, then try and make the friendship a little stronger and then hope for the best. I honestly know how you feel because I have done it and it truely sucks, this is what I have done and been told to do by many people and it worked, so now I pass it on to you. I may not know you but if you need to talk message me I'll do my best

Love makes us do crazy things...sometimes it just can't be helped what happens, everything happens for a reason least know that, I say "it's better to deal with an issue then put it aside because then it'll only get worse then where you first left it" one too many times have I 'gave them space' and it never works out, ever :/ sadly it's tragic. Amazingly written, thank you for sharing once again

Aw, so true. At least you know how we work. The space was prolly the right call. Strong poem good rhythm. There are few times when you put a few unnecessary syllables in a line for instance my way in line 22 is unneeded. Either way good write, have some clappies.
