A splendor enticingly opens my consciousness
from a deep, incessantly contemptuous slumber.
Precious tears of regret flowed upon the eyes
of this lost sheep in realization of the Creator’s offer.
The pine scent that lingers as the lively leaves prisms
the gentleness of light casts by the morning sun.
The effervescent branches evenly dancing to the melody
hummed by the misty wind that gracefully spun.
As the whispering sound of the rolling waters,
along with the chirps of the birds in the skies;
Composed a lullaby that nestles every creature
to the bed of greens in a quintessence of paradise.
Delved into the mind of an ethereal dreamer,
this surreal scene is not just a grotesque view.
For in the hearts of the pure, there live within,
a perennial belief of sanctuary more than we knew.
Author notes
Inspired by the photo. Green, green and more green... very refreshing!

Wow. This is beautiful. It is so deep I had to reread it!! I love the imagery!! I can totally see the photo with the words you used to paint a picture! And it has such a deep theme too! That's what I love about this, seeing how my photography affects people, what they feel when they see it. Great job and best of luck in the contest!
