I can feel how you breathe
standing tall in the breeze
I am but a simple man
old enough to know who you are
The crack of you bark
as you grow so tall and straight
And I will stand in awe
And i shall fight for your fate
You are my perfect shade
in the sun that burns like fire
You are my resting place
I shall nap inside your desire
Majestic now you stand
all eyes shall gaze upon you
You are the perfect wonder
that no one could out do
Rough and cracked with age
grown a hundred feet tall
I am impressed with your standing
and I never ever want to see you fall
You are so beautiful
as your branches sway in the wind
I am just a person who wishes
all the contracts would resined
But no one stops to listen
to your mighty cries
And all those who say they care
are all so full of lies
And I cry out for you
The roots of all our skies
Born is the seedling
that shall reflect upon our eyes
Foliage in autumns freeze
all colors of my mind
taken by the moment
perfection is what I find
