Wings

We have wings.
We are angels.
We are dragonflys.

Infused with divinity,
ethereal motion
that seeks
verdant desire.

Fecund with urges
divine wings seek
wisps and Ariel stratums,
and wanton Dragonflys
fly in carnal unions,
beam gazes into your eyes,
oozing impious desire,
the cycle of being.

Angels embrace
the mortal helicies.
Wasn’t it the design?
It took the sacreds
to sully and taint
lusts of creation.
Love or lust,
Angels smile
with knowing,
while dragonflys
thrust and purge
in aerial union.
Until they
Dance again.

Author notes

piety or carnality ... human pejoratives, not devine.

Love or lust there is a need for procreation and companionship... the dragonflys are not encumbered by the same value system as their human counterparts... But the fact remains... most livings things "like it" an are going to go about it, however it suits their needs... Ideally, for a human this would turn into a lasting love... (for piety's sake?) This was certainly deceptively complex!!!

If we have those expectations that urge is a driver.

?) This was certainly deceptively complex!!!

Thank you Ithaca for noticing. Yes this and life, and acceptances and dilution or desentrgration of judgementalism, and on and on... simple is complex, complex is simple.

thank you so much for making not one but two runs at this.

My heart wishes it was simple.

edit ( thanks for the piety pun, that was good.)

This one dances through deeper thought and visions. I found myself mesmerized by the images of delicate flight and fiery lust colliding. Angels as spectators brings a whole other perspective to these words. I really like how this leaves subtle questions for the reader to answer. What "It took the sacreds
to sully and taint...lusts of creation" really means is left up to the reader's view. "Dance again" at the end shows the connective spirals of life where all interactions are dances; short embraces of the moment and feeling combined. Blue

PS- "devine wings seek" should be divine?

Thank you so Asdzaa. When a reciprocant graces me with the co-artistry of completing my work by absorbing into it and taking it where I could not in my limitations imagine, then I participate in conjoined creation. Thank you so for completing this art.

this is less about love and lust, although those are there, and as much or more about judgements of humans, presumptions of devinity. Who are we to say?
