Long Journey

These eyes have seen so much,
Happeniess and sorrow.
Tired but content,
To live my final years.
Longing for the simplier life,
Of my long ago youth.
Back when my journey had just begun,
Before my first steps.
Then learning how to run,
And the values of life.
Falling in love,
Marrying my true.
Watching our children grow,
Teaching them the values,
We learned as kids.
Almost time for me to move on,
To a better place.
Join my friends,
Forever remembering my youth.

out standing...for through the eyes of the wise ones, wisdom flows...memories flow like sweet wine to remind of ones passing day...a little longing, and a few more smiles, then the journey to be with long past friends.....wonderful!!
