.half.as.far.

sharp slants of sun
slither through the grass at evenings onset
heavy with the weight of its journey
all those millions of miles-
all the furlongs of emptiness
among the stars.

just to make it here

i often wonder
would i have the same perseverence
the same determination
would i make it
half
as far?

sometimes i think of you as the earth
as someone's soft verdant lawn
in the middle of suburbia
gentle in its steady growth
and oh so far away

and sometimes

i feel like the sun

Moved to the point where I am traveling along side the rays of sunlight! What a way to phrase a question of patience! Beautiful!
