When love spans the globe of intensity
the shackles seem dark; full of density
All hands are so tied as to be so denied
but our love will and does span the tide.
When mountains and springs stand in between
one would think all our dreams would scream.
But the love of our lives will surely surprise
standing in spite, on our dark, lonely nights.
So we care not that we're miles and miles apart,
all we need to grasp is how our love still imparts.
And despite the degree of the powers that tend to be
we will still keep the flame, bright and glowing.

I like the message in the poem. Thanks for entering it in my contest. I'm not sure the style of writing you were going for but the flow of the poem was a little choppy and the rhyme slight forced but its not bad. Good luck in my contest.

a good piece of poetry, long distance hearts shine love into the sky, their spirits full of wonder and warmth.
