Run

"Run, run as fast as you can!"
His voice echoing through the black forest,
Branches low and broken.
Loud clunks fill the air,
As boots hit the dirt.

She runs for her life,
The memories of him torturing her.
Abusing her,
No, not even her dreams are peaceful.

Tripping over a root,
Not knowing where it was.
He turns into a midnight wolf,
Sharp pearl teeth glisten in the moon,
Blood matted in his fur.

Bitting deep into her neck, breaking her collerbone,
Screams fill the forest.
No one there to save her,
As his teeth rip away.
Blood pours down onto her chest,
He slowly licks it away.
As he sucks on the wound turning into a mark,
Her skin light rose,
Cheeks flushed.

As he slowly turns back into human,
Bones cracking shifting back.
As a smirk and black eyes sparkle,
"Time to say goodbye my love"
Whispering into her ear gently nipping,
Slowly grapping a dagger from his boots.
Kissing her agressivley as he stabbed her heart,
More life flows.

"I.. love you..."
She whispered into the cold frosty air,
Abandoned.

    Brilliant

I must say, contest wise it's not what I was looking for. But as a poem there's no doubting this is a great peice, it does what any poem worth its salt does, and puts the reader in the vision. Well done.

Bella, your imagery here made me shudder [and that is saying something]. Wonderful dark writing that took me deeper into the abys. I was with the woman, running for her life. But, I was also the wolf. Beautiful dark piece of writing. Keep writing, you have a great talent.

    Love

    xx
    Good luck in the competition.
