I lived here
You lived there
But we met amidst us both
An unplanned chance
To start this dance
Of seeing where it would go
First to rest the past
Give it its last
Before we thought of others
A surprise to find
I am of mind
To go ahead with another
Miles in between
With days so keen
And time completely pure
Today's only ours
Without life's sours
But how for day to day
How would it be
Taking time to see
What life would have to offer
We continued on
Without a con
So pursue we did much further
A move was made
A price was paid
For not just us did matter
We confirmed this love
With up above
And took it one step further
The time has passed
And things have lasted
Despite life stepping in
Today will be
Our anniversary
From a point brought in between

Very nice indeed!
I met my husband two years before I met him again then married him...this poem makes me think about him!
Congrats on your anniversary!

Thanks for the entry. The poem is alright although there are a few times where the flow is broken and some of the rhyme is a little to cliche. You have described the distance relationship fairly well though. Good luck in my contest.

Thanks for the feedback. It was one of those as I wrote that just knew wasn't going to be my best. Being tired didn't help but maybe I should have held off. I so agree on your cliche comment!
