Shuttering as the wind brushes my face
Hiding in the shadows of yesterdays mistakes
Anxiously awaiting sorrows of tomorrow
Tattered dreams drifting into the abyss
Taunting my aching thoughts so whole
Elevating my hopes into the heavens of the storm
Rupturing, ashes floating to the ground
I lay shaking on the floor
My body sprawled across the room
Bits and pieces of me everywhere throughout the house
This is what you've done to me
I've shattered.

There are those sacred times when we are shattered...the pain body left is difficult to piece back together... Thank you for your entry.

Your wording here is gorgeous. So drawn out and breathtaking. Really enjoyed this. Best of luck in the contest you've entered!
