She grabbed my hand and said "Whatever you do don't let go."
We both came upon some heavy blows in life.
Her hand I held firmly in mine.
The name calling.
The throwing of fists.
The beating with sticks.
No one stopped them.
They did it anyway.
I looked into her eyes as we both laid there.
She mouthed the words "Don't let go."
I held her hand tightly that fatal night.
Blood flowed from our bodies.
We laid there limp and dead.
They found us with our hands still interlocked.
They buried us in the same coffin.
Written upon our headstone,
Were the words Don't Let Go!
They say love can surpass all.
And in this case it did.
Our hands still remain together.
Just now we are in Heaven.
As God watches us and whispers,
"I would never let go."

the style of this flows like a river its almost as if the words just poured into your head and you were merely the translator its amazing. Wow, I don't even know what to say on this one. The images were, brutal. But the overall meaning was, deep. I love when somebody says "Don't let go." To me, that holds more meaning that an I love you. I love you is just words but saying Don't let goes declares that you need the person in order to keep holding on to life. I dunno. I guess I'm just a hopeless romantic. "Our hands still remain together." I think that's greatness right there. lol I think this was very deep babe. Good read.
