Light For My Path

Missing image

A vital truth

Understanding the purpose of the Bible

is like setting the compass

in a right direction.

Calibrate it correctly

and you’ll journey safely.

But fail to set it,

and who knows where

you’ll end up.

Author notes

PSALM 119:105 kjv

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Good metaphor for using the Bible. We need to compass to set our direction. Congratulations on the silver.

After a long period of darkness I'm just now beginning to see that light. Best of luck in the contest.

    Sincerely,

It's a fact that our view is often clouded by emotions and passing events, but vision remains clear. I like your simile of the compass. Best of luck!

Jesus said "I am the light".
It is my belief that the way to know and understand the guidance of the Bible, one has to spend time in God's word.
I have the audio book of the King James Bible on my MP3 player. I am often able to listen while I am at work. Today I listened to the book of Romans. I could listen to any book out of the Bible and get something new from it every day. That is what I think of when I think of setting my compass though knowledge of the Bible.

The graphic is gorgeous, peaceful and serene. A perfect accompanyment not only with the psalm but with your words also. I loved that you used black and white for your page as there are some things in this world that are black and white, as you've shown us here. Your words a gentle reminder to have faith in faith itself.
    Good luck in the contest.
