I Will Live

I want to live…

I want to weave
and be a weaver.
I want to paint
and be an artist.
I want to fly
with my arms around someone
and take them with me
and hold them safe

I want to weave
my words into lyric and song.
I want to breathe
the air and know where it’s been.
I want to feel
Everything, all at once,
And for all of time
And know it’s together, if only in me.

I want to love
and be someone’s lover.
I want to kiss
and be a great kisser.
I want to hug,
and feel her body
so close, and breathe
the scent of her skin.

I want to live
and be alive.
I want to sin
and love every minute of it.
I want to exist
in the clouds and the stars
And feel the power
And feel the awe.


I want to know
what there is to know.
Be wise
and full of wisdom.
I want to see
the heart of my
Love and my
Body and see what drives me.

I want to win
and be beaten.
To start and
Conclude.
I want to be the beginning
of someone’s life
And make them feel whole
And feel them around my soul.

I want to be
and be alone.
I want to talk
to someone who’ll listen.
I want to make
And to create
And to write
And to bring tears to someone’s eyes.

I want to be loved
Forever and always
And doubt
It’ll ever end
I want to whisper in her ear
Soft, sweet nothings
Touch her hair
Kiss her lips…

I want to live.

I will live.

    wonderful dreams

    i see no reason that you marked this for the 'weird' category. it seems perfectly normal and expresses the desires that so many of us have, or had at one time until life's tragedies caused us to give up on hope and faith. you wrote this well. thank you for sharing this with me today and i am looking forward to reading more from you in the near future. viyanna rosemarie

    The last stanza really brought it in.
    It flowed well and I loved the repetition
    of the first line and the last two.

    It really brought a lot of emotion
    too. It kind of inspires me. Thought provoking too.
