As man sails across the sea of human plight
some things have changed like day and night,
that we now know verses what we once knew
we have learned as times gentle winds blew.
On the sea of mans weathered journeys existence
he has searched for reason with mortal persistence
sailing blue waters, under gray clouds stormy sky fist
with sailors only truths of certainty in spoon drifts mist.
Braving the unknown, with what they believed,
they sailed to the end of the world, they perceived,
where the earth was flat, and souls never came back,
with mistaken visions of life, their dreams remained intact.
Are we to find faiths billowed sails spiritual winds passed,
to be realities ship of souls hidden metaphors mast?
God waits beyond deaths edge waters transitions
with loves pillow patch clouds of sunset intentions
to break our fall into heavens universal dimensions.
