happy birthday, my dear daughter

the sun and stars shone bright that day
the day you came to share
your smile, your love
as your melody filled the air

as you grew into such a lovely lass
the earth took on a new look
with flowers of every hue
leaving their fragrance to fill each nook

now you’re a beautiful young lady
gifting the world with your presence
one of God’s gentle creatures
sharing your love, your essence

so happy birthday, dear shahrzad
may you have many more
may good fortune and happiness
always for you be in store
