Rusty Bucket

Rusty bucket filled with rain
An endless thought drips from my brain
Teething seething spectral life
collects itself neatly on the tip of a knife
i watched clamity from afer
the type that makes you wonder who you are
or what you are doing in this place
every time you see your own face
while you're looking with contempt
pondering why all you've dreamt
and all you've wanted to be true
was ruined by only you
and every one you've ever loved
has packed it up and given up
now you're company is down to one
but you hate this personand wish they were gone
but you're stuck with them and all this truth
because you know the person's you
sad realization, you deserve this fate
when you yourself is the only one you hate.

I've struggled with drug addiction for god knows how long and this poem is absolutely beautiful! Wonderful work! I like the last two lines. It added an extra punch. kind of like "uh" so there! Very nice smoothe rhyming the whole way through. And welcome to AP! I hope you find it enjoyable!

    Spreading love to your page,
