See You

Mother, i always see you there,
But do you see me?
All hollow brittle and frail?

Father i always see you there,
But do you see me?
with holding the tears i was taught not to cry?

Sister i always see you there,
But do you see me?
Leading by an example i do not wish?

Brother i always see you there,
But do you see me?
Too awashed in shame to play with you?

Friend, i always see you there,
But do you see me?
Crying from my inner eyes for your help?

Enemy, i always see you there,
And you always see me,
Leading me away from those i love.

Ok you are officially going on my favorites list. This poem, the way you go from mother to father, sister, brother, friend, and end in enemy is clever. And since it's a drug recovery poem I'm assuming that your enemy was drugs. Many of my poems are dealing with alcohol and poetry became my anti drug. This is superb.

I like how you ask questions in your poems. You don't tell the viewer what you think, what's right or wrong, or what you think shodld be. You simply leave it up to them who heartedly. Great job!

    Spreading love,
    Miley
