These aren't the children
we wanted or had .
Invasion of the body snatchers
the pod people, might explain
this turn of events.
No one from our loins could do
or would have done what they've
done together or separately.
Maybe 'my mother's curse',
that I end up with kids like me
wasn't bull-shit after all.

I like this poem. I don't know why what made me read it. Maybe the title made me it was a good title to fit a good poem. I like the 2nd stanza.

As they say "what goes around comes around to bite you" or maybe, just perhaps they were switched at birth. Sometimes they do grow up and surprise you or no matter what you do, they kick you in the butt. It is all in th eluck of the draw or a greater power has a warped sense of humor.
