I've looked it in the eye
felt it's final breath
I tasted the tears I cry
I've seen death
I've felt it's arms around me
not wanting to let go
I've seen what will come to be
as all of us will know
I've felt pain and suffering
through people that I love
I've seen while they are leaving
they ask for god above
I've felt the loss of moving on
to just a memory
I still mourn that you are gone
no longer here for me
