Today I am turning 15
Everyone is telling me to be happy
What is so special about today?
I don't like it and I feel crappy
Just yesterday I got a call
Not one to say congrats or say hello
Just one that caused me to fall
Yesterday I learned about pain
Not really physical or mental
Just pain that rips at the soul
Now if you need to name this pain
I would say Death's push and pull
Yes that's me at my party
The only one not enjoying
Yes that's me in the corner
The only one that is crying
The thing that caused this
It is something I never thought
It is something that shouldn't happen
I learned that she was caught
You may be asking, "Who is she?"
Maybe what I mean by caught
Well she is my Carly
And caught is well...goodbye
Death took her without risk
He is now to me a menace
I used to think Death was a relief
Until he took the innocent

Deaths call rings loud and true,
to the guilty and innocent the same.
But we know him well, me and you,
we all dance to his music, play his little game.
This is good. well written, a lot of emotion, and full of depth. Thanks for entering.
