I wear his dog tags.

I wear his dog tags,
They say his name,
His life on this litte tag.

I wear them now,
When he doesn't need them,
It's something of his I can wear.

I wear his dog tags,
Like I wear my ring,
A promise to me he has given.

I wear his dog tags,
Military his life,
And me? His love.

I wear his dog tags,
Between the times he has off,
The time that he has with me.

I wear his dog tags,
And start to cry,
For he is soon to leave me.

I wear his dog tags,
Until the last hour,
When he boards that plane.

He wears his dog tags,
As we both cry,
And say goodbye for sometime.

Please tell me what you think
