You hold me close to you
The music washes over us
until it soaks us through
Your cheek on my hair
Your fingers caress my face
Slow Dance.
No one else exists now
Its just you and me
We have become ageless
I don't have a past
You don't have a future
Slow Dance.
There is no such thing as time
This moment has no start
It does not have an end
This moment just is
And we are inside it
Slow Dance.
I feel you chest against mine
Your heart beats only for me
Your lips just touch mine
You and I no longer exist
We are one in this moment
Slow Dance.
Author notes
I know that it doesn't rhyme, but I love this poem more than any of the other poems I've written so far. I have a bit of a thing for slow dancing :-)

This is beautiful. I love to slow dance too and treasure the moment when it's done with someone special. Excellent

Ahh how I treasure those moments wrapped in the arms of another, music moving to timeless rapture,
flesh rising, bending, thoughts turn to passion waiting just around the next song, sometimes parting, and other times moving on to even slower dances in the night that end with a frenzied delight. Thanks for your entry....Artis
