I rly like this poem..it makes me think bout my past relationships.

It takes a lot of strength to say to someone, 'you can't hurt me anymore' if you can say that and mean it, it's the strongest thing someone can say, as it's taking control of your own life and not letting those who hurt you win.

My ex husband was like this. He treated me and my children like crap and did drugs and beat the crap out of me for five years. I just heard about a month ago that he had hung himself while in jail for raping and empregnating a 15 year old girl. I know it is probably wrong to say but I really don't think anyone will miss him. It took me five years to get the courage to get up and leave. Now 6 years later, I know that if i had of stayed with him that there is a great possible that my children and I very well may not have lived this long. Thanks for sharing and I will be adding this to the finalists list
