here is the whole of it, a book of simple words
rasping its scratchy throat that puts mild men to sleep
words wish to leap from straight lines
and hard backings
into new ways of being known
look a line fell from its pinned down rhythm
shattered so it could dance all by itself
it swung from a nicely plied phrase,
leapt from a ledger of crisp lines
and became a song hummed by itself
it causes swell and ebb of a thirsty sea
wanting to chew on meaty stuff
and not have to sift through and spit out pithy bits
the most awesome thing of this book
is when I lift it from its dusty shelf
motes sparkle with new ideas about freedom

... oh that we would not waste words and allow every line to dance and hum by itself! out with the pith! in with the meaty freedom!!
awesome as always

Freedom rings in this poem, from a olden book seeking new ways, to old ways findng new rhythm freedom leaps upon a stage for all to see... wonderful interpretive imagery...a concept extended to illustrate a feeling, attitude...freedom, so very well done...PK

Your words have soothed me countless times, my Friend. But not once have they ever put me to sleep. Quite the contrary, Sweetie. I never feel more wide~awake than when I'm listening to your song. Good luck in PK's contest, my Sister. Great picture, too.
