He guards the portals of the night
when ghouls and goblins take to flight,
So in those realms of mystic light
I travel on, I travel on.
And on those wings of velvet dark
I fly beyond the starry arc
to magic places I embark,
beyond the dawn, beyond the dawn.
Night dragon peaceful dreams will seed,
no need to beg , no need to plead,
for in your mind each wish he'll read,
so fly tonight, when day has gone.

Perfect selection of form to create embody this fantasy poem. The repetition reminds me almost of a villanelle and serves so well to invoke the darkness of the poem as well as its peaceful beauty and resolution. Marvelous.
