What he did to me wasn't fair
I needed that rebound, a safety
Flirts
Lies
Deceit
Mystery
And finally I found my revenge
You, sitting there so innocent
Came to me
Without so much as a small bait
I had my plans for you
It take so little to use you
Against him
After what he did to me
You pulled me through life
Comforted me when I most needed it
So time passed more quickly
Than I had intended
I found myself afraid to lose you
...Was I falling in love?
Day after day I would anticipate
Your warm face smiling to me
Encompassing me with joy
But you stole my heart
I guess you had your plans too
Yet I didn't want my revenge
With you, I know
My heart will be content
Author notes
Band geek! ^.^ I chose option 4, but I'm not sure this really followed the prompt. Title was kinda random, but oh well. (Just in case it isn't obvious to those who know me, this is fiction =P)

I actually really like it. It does stay true to the prompt, in a way. Such a story. ^-^

A lot of feeling and irony packed into this one. Great write and good luck in the contest!
