Wondering day by day if anyone knows
How a sister loves her brother so sinfully so
Lives move along as time goes on
Deceiving only ourselves, continuing the con
Our love is so forbidden, that much we know
but neither of us willing to let it go
Work continues as days pass by
We love one another, that we cannot deny
And everyone seems to turn a blind eye
Hearts beat and desires race
Our love grows at an uncontrollable pace
As I sit here now longing and waiting for a taste
Our hunger increases as the time passes by
I so desire to look deep into your big brown eyes
I think of you my sweet brother and grow wet between my thighs
Dodging their stares and avoiding the talk
Living everyday with their gossip and wheeling's
Don't they want to know our true feelings?
Fantasies will come and fantasies will go
Yet the one I have of us my brother only grows
Our life, our love a secret that nobody knows
But in our hearts we will forever behold
Taking the risks as we take our strides
Anticipating the passion and desire of our ride
Our minds wonder, overwhelmed with lust
Just urging us toward our sinful thrust
Knowing it is our destiny, our love my sweet brother will forever be
Wanting to share with the world our love, we want them to see
But knowing they would never understand,
The kind of love that we share as a woman and a man.
We sink quietly in the shadows, in search of peace
Waiting till the world can learn to understand
Holding each other in secret, our hearts and lives in our hands.
Author notes
The history and inspiration behind this poem came from a close friend of mine, I won't mention her name to protect her privacy, but hers is a tragic love story which I will briefly share.
She was 14 when she met the man of her dreams, he was 25. She lied about her age and they got together. Thinking it would last forever, they had twin daughters, both whom are now happy, healthy, intelligent 20 year olds who have just started collage last year. Her goals and his were very different as the time went on, and even though they never lost the spark between them or the love, she held back and eventually he started dating her best friend, they married, but he and my friend remained best of friends till here this past year when he divorced and they had gotten back together. Now at age 36 she has found out she was adopted in a private adoption and raised some 2000 miles from where she was born, never even thinking to question her heritage. As luck would have it, it didn't take long for her to track her birth parents, but quickly her triumph turned to pain when she found that she and her lover both shared the same parents. Their mother reluctantly reveled that had a daughter she had given up at birth. My friend and her lover were shattered, they had planned to be married this year and expand their family. Needless to say it is impossible for them to just push 22 years of love out of their hearts even though they know it will now be impossible for them to be together.
A personal note on this, my friend and her lover were not twins, they were not raised in the same area, nor did they have any traits alike. She is natural blond/green and he is dark brown/brown. No visible resemblances to speak of. It is truly a sad turn of events and a cruel twist of fate.
The poem was wrote with them in mind, the love they share and will always share even if they can't be together.

This is a very compelling poem. It's subject matter is bold and unconventional. I like it. The story behind it is crushing and very real. The two should never be published apart. Bravo! -
That is so sad
I wouldn't want to be in her shoes!
Great write though.
