She was curled up in the dark of her self.
No sun to warm her skin,
No touch to wake her senses,
No whispered words to make her smile.
She saw a sliver of light;
a crack in her world of solitary.
The sliver opened as he smiled,
and her cold skin was warmed by his touch.
Gradually the darkness lightened
the clouds of loneliness dissipated.
As she took to skies,
soaring above her old self,
she kept him forever close.
His words became her wings,
his love became her wind,
his face became her sun.
