The dawn is breaking on a new future's day
How then will we all survive?
If every door we try to open is closed
What then will you do? Tell me what will you do?
The road is long and lonely the further you go on
And home is just a memory like all the sleepless nights
Where thoughts of darkness pool in the shadows
Cast by the palest of the moon's light
So open up your eyes to see the morning light
That filters like the sands through an hour glass
And if it doesn't make you cry
To realize you are all alone from now on
But where can we run to, who will be our guide?
And how do we cross the bridges that we burned
If we knew the answers to all our prayers
Who would pray? Tell me who would pray?
The sun is slowly rising to kiss a brand new day
How then will you make peace with your maker
If you don't believe, if you won't believe
Knowing in your heart it was all lies and alibi's
This road is long and lonely when travelled on your own
The days grow even longer the further you go
And lonely are the nights as cold as the distant stars
When we are struggling to find the light
So open up your eyes to see the morning light
That filters like the sands through an hour glass
And if it doesn't make you cry
To realize you are all alone from now on
And where will we run to, who will be our guide?
And how do we cross the bridges that we burned
If we knew the answers to all our prayers
Who would pray? Tell me who would pray?
