The Morning Dew

If one were to stare straight up
Into the endless sky.
Perhaps the world would stand quite still
Or else go flying by.
Or turn around and do a dance.
Give lady moon a loving glance,
For the ebbs and flows of true romance,
Which wishes but comply.

If one asks a flowing river
Wherever it does plan to go.
Is it pure to kick and splash
For having it not know?
To hit and thrash at Nature's seams?
To try and crush true poet's dreams?
To turn away from sunny beams,
Which cause the stream to glow?

And if the world so calm and blue
Would simply cease to be.
Would all the glowing stars come out
And gather the debris?
Erase a memory so pure.
An age of man who was so sure.
Beyond the heavens they'd endure
Or would they weep and flee?

Beyond the questions of our minds
Lays the answer true.
Which men beyond the greatest men
Have faltered to construe.
The greatest minds through all convening,
Through scattered words and thoughts careening,
Have never truly thought the meaning
To lie in the morning dew.
