I close my eyes
and once again
descend into the forest glade
to walk the mossy bank
along the stream of silver light
My feet so swift and sure
ahead I see the open gate
and beyond, the water, clear
I kneel and dip my fingers in
and taste the life
in different shadows
While birds pass overhead
my thoughts too
fly between the stars
and I am drawn into
velvet-like meadows
where I lie down
enjoying nature
forgetting all around me.
What does this touch within YOU?...

sweet
hey nice melody..I can say ...no its Marlow...he says...
The shepherd swains shall dance and sing
For thy delight each May morning;
If these delights thy mind may move,
Then live with me and be my love.
very nice poem.

Wonderful!
Yet another poem celebrating nature, I love how you use different styles, not limiting yourself to one. This one is very peaceful and relaxing, it's easy to get lost in and it makes me wish that I could lie there too and enjoy the nature surrounding me.

It makes me think of unconditional love, selflessness and total awareness. For how else can we truly percieve the beauty and majesty that enfolds us?
I love your work. I MUST ad you to my favorites. Peace. -

This is so calming and has such a dream-like effect to it. It makes me think of how we slip out of one reality and into another.

This speaks to me of quiet times and solitude, for the purpose of rejuvenation. Beautiful images of a 'place to visit' to refresh the soul and 'refill'.
It's a lovely write.

This makes me think
past the wonderful words contained in Ps 23, and I too experience thoughts of life after death. But, I can also feel the calm of real forest walk, and think back when some years ago, I, flat on my back on the grass, with the sound of waves in my ears, looked up at the stars and listened in awe to their shine, and feel the fullness of my thoughts. How great a God we have. Thank you for this write. I look forward to continue its reading as you proceed.

This touches my need for a space to relax and recoup what I have known and lost. This is a place of inner peace, the image of flowing water is restful to me. As it cleanses the land, also it purifies me. I have written of a place like this, but long ago, and not so well.
Peace and blessings to you!
