I want to sit in my lawn chair and watch the sun go down behind mountains
Watch rays beam their way through the atmosphere With the gaze of a lover saying goodbye
In the final moments when darkness prevails I’ll listen to the sound of silence
It is something that I have rarely done in my life. Something I need to do more often.
Let the tension s of the day flow out of my with legs kicked up relaxing.
Perhaps I can close my eyes and dream I am in ameadow in those mountains.
In a verdant glen the warm sun massaging my eyes and I would be unfarid to shut them
to allow in a sort of placidness like a spring of fresh water, till the dream is played out
then I would have to say goodbye.
The air is cool upon my brow and I am in the now
feeling the pulse of my body my breath rise and fall.
Deep within me there is peace
because peace always comes with silence.
I am glad I have lived to an age where I can appreciate such.
I’ve finally gathered an enough wisdom I my life to take in these moments
for what it is and is not.
My wife also knows this gift and has accumulated wisdom through the years.
We sit together watching the rays listening to small birds chirp.
We known of its pure love.
But we have learned by trial and error by fault and defult.
No one is mistake free we have spent our time in hell.
We Learned to take in these moments knowing what to do’
and what not to do.
That has made one hell of a difference
