So

A stark contrast of many years ago,
I sit on the stony beach and stare out into the dark,
The rain comes down like an ending romance,
The raindrops splash against my bare arms and the sea rushes up to my shoes.

A torent of water.
The sky line flickers from the lightening, like a distant shelling.
I smell the fresh clean air, I see the lights of the port.
I feel the rain water upon me, soaking my clothes to my skin.
A cold chill runs up my spine and I turn to see I'm alone.

Never ending the darkness stretches out, the stars pierce its skin.
I lay down upon the pebbles, grip the bottle by my side,
I stare upinto the star struck darkness and feel the rising tide around my back.
Toying with my hair.

But regardless,
Your not here and I dont care.

Please tell me what you think

Beautiful. And haunting. I can feel the loneliness permeating into my soul from this piece. Great write, with wonderful imagery and use of vocabulary. Great job.
