Wistful Harvest

As a phantom I came to my room of dreams,
silken folds flowed silently,
hushed
polished shine smooth and glides
over satined sheets oyster pearl.
Pumped up pillows, fresh with blossom
cherry velvet thickened pile.
Elegant spindles frame,
wistful hopes enhanced
brackets, bejewelled, naturally formed and nurtured
nourished from a mere grain,
gently moulding,
controlling
continuously rolling
but then to balance
elevates slender mood.
Seek to fly,
replenished and refreshed,
a drifted thought on a wing
a prayer grasped tightly,
the veil lifts.

This is such an elegant & understanding penning, Poet. It's as though you've read the silences within my eyes & painted a tapestry of truth with your wise words. First of all, balance is imperative to me; I am a Libra. The seeking to fly & wing...my nickname is Swanee for very good reasons. The prayer & veil are appropriate images, as well. There is a slight sense of melancholy, which is also all too accurate. Thank you for entering this lovely piece. Good luck in the contest. Wanda
