Cold-Blooded Mind

The light in my eyes are slowly dying,
Life has long since withered away,
Love still drifting within my heart,
But for how long shall it live.

I look at my pale skinny arms,
With the dark heavy bruises,
She beat me with her vile words,
Breaking my body and mind,
And leaving me for dead.

I thought I could trust her,
But I guess I was wrong,
She took me for one hell of a ride,
Up and down an emotional roller coaster,
Until I finally couldn't take it anymore.

She smashed my head in with a vase,
I felt my life slowly slipping away,
I tried to hold on,
But it was so hard to,
The darkness started to,
Consume my body.

I can see the dark blood,
Still staining my torn jeans,
My arms wrapped with heavy barbed wire,
The torn flesh with  trickling blood oozing out,
The chains of sin mark my skin with their teeth,
But I did no such thing to her.

She just sits there with dark undying eyes,
With that sinister grin upon her face,
Laughing at me laying there in my blood,
I reach out towards her foot,
Pleading for her to help me,
She kicks me hard and walks away.

Later when I die she discards me,
Throwing me into a dumpster like garbage,
I could see the darkness all around,
As she closed the lid and walked away.

Now I sit here in front of her grave,
With a newspaper in my hand,
Reading about the accident,
About the young girl hit by a truck,
Wondering how I got here,
Not knowing if I'll ever find peace,
Because the dead can never truly rest,
Until there business has ended like life.
