Careful Opening the Door

Around the area I now live you have to take great care
if you're not careful opening doors, you’ll have an arachnid in your hair
But came the day a doggy’s bark had me leaping quickly out of bed
And in my rush to let him out, down fell a huntsman on my head
Now apparently they are the most harmless spiders in the west
But for sure I didn’t want to put his juicy fangs to test
Huntsman’s are the biggest hairiest spiders around this place
And the leg span of a huntsman will cover your whole face
The vibrations from my unholy scream made it fall upon my shirt
Then the ‘Oh God’ spider jiggle had it landing in the dirt
I looked into the spiders eyes "DON'T KILL ME!!! was his wish
But sorry, I couldn’t help myself and with my shoe went
SQUISH!!!

This website mentions that every Australian has a huntsman horror story, here's mine.
Check out this website for some pics of the scary critter and the other scary critters we find around here.

ergh, enough to give you a phobia if you haven't got one already. I think I'll avoid looking at the picture though just incase, i'll just have to take your word for it there, very interesting write here! Kinda like a mini story about it.

Okay, I just looked at all the spider pics and will never go to Australia without wearing a fine mesh net over my entire person. You see the occasional black widow here, and very rarely a tarantula, but none of the beasts you have over there. Blecch! I was surprised to hear the Huntsman isn't poisonous. Of course, when you're as big as a catcher's mitt, I suppose you don't have to be.

    Great!

LOL! Loved it, even though you strike me as a lady not afraid of anything! Bugs do things to women, though...poor little fellow. Your Oh God spider jiggle must be a sight to behold...thank you!
