I still remember your gaze.
Your sweet, handsome face.
Your country drawl,
That is almost gone.
But she gets to see it and hear it everyday.
But I,
I just remember it.
From the first time I felt this way about you,
I knew you were out of my league.
You have a popular and pretty girlfriend,
Why would you need Me?
Yet, you still talked to me and joked around.
You acted like,
I was your friend.
You even flirted with me sometimes,
But In knew it was too good to be true.
Now we don't talk,
I don't even know you.
Not anymore.
I wish I still did.
I see you everyday.
You don't sense my gaze,
You just have eyes for her,
That retched girl,
That everyone likes,
And knows.
This crush needs to stop,
Before it gets out of hand.
Before I get hurt,
Once again.

~*~An Unwritten Truth~*~ -
The first stanza was my favorite. So raw and heartache-ridden. Very nicely written poem; flows smoothly and all that.
