Crimson the taint of my heart
Black is the depth of thy soul
Blood, the medium of our unity
In its shade our love shall unfold
-
Our violent passions raging
Trying so hard to resist
Fallen at last, to be victims
To that bloodstained final kiss
-
That binds us, a slave to the murder
Addicted, though inside we die
How many must die, how much further
Must we play this charade you and I?
-
Pretending that life is worth living
When each night we steal life away
And the only thing, that this night is bringing
Is fear to our ignorant prey...
Author notes
A myth trying to expose its true nature
Trying to remove the romantic notions surruonding it
But was the attempt successful?
Enjoy...

Great work. The imagery and metaphores were spot on. You brought across the emotions with artistry. Thanks for the great read.
