Bright petals of sky blue,
With red polka dots,
Large lustrous leaves of green,
Long slender stem of thorns,
That will surely make your hand bleed.
A flower of unknown species,
Born of the earth,
Grown and cradled in silence,
Staring up into the yellow orb,
Shining brilliantly about the garden.
Plucking the flower from the ground,
I place it in a box,
And wrap it tight with a blue ribbon,
And put a card on top,
And give it to you.
The Card reads: To the one that is special to me,
Who captured my heart,
And loved me for me,
I love you so much,
My beauty of nature.
