in surrender's bountiful gardens of sobriety's relief.

adventure’s that await.
Boldly rebuild the life deserving of you.
Oh yes, their will be days,
When the sweat seems too much to take.
I assure you, every new seedling you weed,
Will thank you dearly with abundant rewards.
A higher power will strengthen your resolve.
With the work of a step-by-step shovel and rake.
These will assist you to dig up those worrisome rocks,
that daily appear to grind down your heart.
I too…..went to the gardens of sober life,
On a moonlit night to hear what the stars,
had to piercingly whisper and say.
Filling my heart with focus and determined thoughts.
Some days were sunshine and many were rain.
Hesitantly, through it all I did learn,
how to use the tools of cope.
I raked carefully and planted deep,
my new founds seed of faith.
Others did come to observe my new lot.
Well meaning advice, though they really knew not,
How my back ached feeling a touch lost.
It was then a bold and kind inner voice
burst forth.
My first crop and tender friend,myself,
The second was the pain.
Third was forgiveness,
Fourth was compassion,
and learned joy once regained.
High Five Girlfriend,
You are not alone,
Their are many in these gardens,
toiling hard Successfully!
Powerful and Freed.
