So many changes time brings
The face once bright ~ tinged with tears
It has seen so much
Survived more
The body that brought life
Feels death closer
Lines, wrinkles and scars
Bearing truth to a life lived hard
A heart trying to beat
Without being beaten or burned
It cannot breathe
Expand; provide life
Memories clouded and distorted
Unable to focus on good
Drowning in doubt
Where I am
How did I become this
Is the will so weak
The soul absent
Bereft of possibilities
This is not my future
Not of fairy tale princesses
The knight with is armor bright
Slaying the pain of me
Am I alive
Do I exist
When did I become “non”
With nothing for my own
Please tell me what you think

Great Poem!!!!!
A wonderful poem. Very heartyfelt about how we age. Some never seem to age and some age gracfully. Still other look as though life has taken its toll. I say smile on the inside and out and you will always feel young. It is how you feel and not how you look thjat matters.
Bless You,
Sandy

Its the shock of time that we all will feel, one day no matter how young we feel our bodies will decay and lack the ease of youth. For the saying that youth is wasted on the young could not be truer...
