T.L.M

These last few
months
We’ve faced the struggles
of a
Long – distance
relationship.

Still,
Here we are.
¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬

Today;
Our son clutched my hand,
walking me home
from college…

(Barely 6 years old)
he walked most of the way,
Before I lifted him up,
and carried him home...

Alert and smiling,
He pointed out the ducks
Swimming in the brook;
and asked where
“daddy’s fishes gone?”

& I told him,
’the sky’s been crying
too much’.

He asked how we could help,
and I said to listen.
(listen to the rain,
to mother earth,
to father sky)
¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬

Let the rain
Pour down
And cleanse us,
a married couple,
of this
h.u.r.d.l.e.

*(listen to the spirit within)*

And we’ll open our arms,
As two lovers should,
and spin,
dancing together,
falling
ever deeper

in love.
