We’ve heard the cries from those grief stricken souls
Of families that lost loved ones that were dumped into holes
Like the children of Rwanda who were murdered in bloody seas
Bodies left lying on muddy grounds and full of fleas
As operation Karbala 4 saw sons of twelve and more thrown into war
And though 10,000 perished in a day they cried out for more
We have witnessed terrible crimes that violated our minds
People who used these opportunities and associated with those kinds
As the invasion of Osama by his men into US through planes
Killing so many innocents lives under thousands of falling panes
Stories we have heard read and seen
Still people massacred, some just to create a scene
Imprisonment and extermination of Jews by Adolf Hitler
Preaching to many he knew more by cleansing us of those he considered littler
Rockets destroyed Lebanon, Israeli and its people
Slaughtering even those asleep under their steeple
Humankind has been ill-treated butchered and buried rotten
My brothers and sisters, may you never be forgotten
Author notes
Dedicated to those whose beautiful life has perished in vain.... May we always remember.....

A true and impacting poem. Some of the flow is interrupted by phrases that are too long but the message in the poem and the way it was put across was beautiful.
Great write.

Happy to see you've won a gold for this poem. It is disheartening to see people suffering and dying at the hands of fellow humans. But it is a joy to see that there are people that do still care.

Good flow, rhythm rhyme in these lines; rhyming couplets worked well here. So many have lost their lives fighting oppression and power and greed. Congratulations on winning gold in the contest.

wow. That was one of a kind. Thankyou for writing this. I loved how you used the past tragedies and brought them back to the present day again. too many times the victims of these acts are forgotten about. you did a beautiful job in writing this. There is so much power and emotion.
All the best
